In which markets does JF Rumic operate?

What expertise does JF Rumic provide?

We provide a range of personnel, including; offshore managers, bridge supervisors, DOIMs, client representatives, superintendents, ROV, plough and trenching supervisors and pilot technicians, deck foremen, riggers and carousel and tensioner supervisors and technicians.

 

Does JF Rumic provide services in addition to the recruitment of personnel?

Yes, in addition to recruitment JF Rumic offers fully integrated service solutions across all of the sectors we serve. This includes the provision of personnel, equipment (including vessel chartering) and marine co-ordination and project management services. Contact our team directly for further information and advice.

Why do I need to provide a CV?

Your CV is the key document on which we assess your suitability for positions with JF Rumic. It provides vital information about your qualifications, skills experience and certifications. Our clients require a CV when shortlisting candidates and so it is a prerequisite when signing up with us.

 

What is the best format for submitting my CV?

We accept CVs in a range of formats including Microsoft Word, Acrobat PDF or Microsoft Excel.

 

What do I do if I need to update my details with JF Rumic?

If you are a registered contractor, you should contact you assigned co-ordinator to update your details.

GDPR

From May 25, 2018, new laws under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) govern how companies hold, use and share data concerning individuals. The legislation will impose greater data protection obligations on organisations, whilst giving more rights to individuals in relation to how their personal data is processed.

 

Where does GDPR take effect?

The GDPR applies to organisations located within the EU and to organisations located outside of the EU who process data of EU citizens.

 

How does JF Rumic use the personal data it holds on me?

Primarily, we use your personal data to match you with prospective employment opportunities and will pass this data to employers where appropriate with the aim of securing employment.

In addition we may disclose personal information to third parties, such as professional advisers, courts, tribunals, regulatory authorities, other companies and individuals for purposes such as complying with our obligations under contract or as required by law, having services performed such as delivering packages, addressing warranty claims, sending correspondence, obtaining searches from public records and processing payments and recovering unpaid debts.

We will not authorise third parties to use your personal information for any other purpose. If we disclose your personal information to third parties, and where applicable under the applicable country-specific Privacy Act, we will make sure to enter into a processing agreement with such third parties, in order to protect the personal information we share with them.

Can I see what data JF Rumic holds about me?

Yes, we can provide you with all the data we hold on you. You can make this request by contacting your assigned co-ordinator or by emailing us at: oceans@rumic.co.uk

Do I need to supply my own Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)?

For most contracts, you will be required to supply your own PPE equipment including overalls and steel toe boots as a minimum. Other equipment including hard hats and safety glasses may be supplied by the employer. Please check with your JF Rumic co-ordinator for full details concerning your deployment.

 

Do I need to organise and pay for my own VISAs?

No, any VISAs required for your deployment will be arranged by the employer or JF Rumic.

 

Am I required to pay for my own travel?

No, JF Rumic or our client will arrange international / domestic travel and cover the costs of this journey on your deployment and return from work.

JF Rumic will also arrange and pay for travel costs in the event that you are repatriated for medical reasons.

 

Do I need to arrange any innoculations prior to deployment?

Innoculations may be required depending on the work location. These will be stipulated by the client. You will be required to arrange for any innoculations required prior to travelling.  

 

What is my employment status while working for JF Rumic?

Most of our contractors operate as a limited company. You can find out more about limited company status, its benefits, responsibilities and the process for establishing your own limited company here.

It is also essential that you arrange employer’s liability insurance and public liability insurance if you choose to operate as a limited company.

You can also choose to work for us via an umbrella company, please contact us for further information about this option.  

 

What limit of insurance cover is required for limited company personnel? 

It is necessary to have £10 million employer's liability cover and £5 million public liability cover if you choose to operate as a limited company.

Do you have an out of hours contact for contractors?

Yes, we have an emergency number for out of hours support, this number is  +44 (0) 1229 615456. For non-urgent issues that are out of office hours please email travel@rumic.co.uk and the Duty Officer will respond. JF Rumic office hours are 08:00 - 17:30.
