Cable installation on the Beatrice wind farm on the Moray Firth in Scotland was put on hold briefly when a Tier 1 cabling contractor found itself in need of additional expert personnel.

But a call to JF Rumic resulted in a superfast resolution – the company was able to get a team of highly skilled offshore operators on site in a remote part of Northern Scotland within five days to catch a crucial weather window.

JF Rumic’s business development manager, Andy Nattrass explains:

‘We pride ourselves on our ability to respond rapidly, and in this case, the client had a very short weather window and an expensive cabling vessel all ready and waiting, so we had to move fast to get our team to the site as quickly as possible.’

JF Rumic provided crew for handling special floats on board the client's cable laying vessel as well as an onshore support team tasked with the job of bringing a cable inland for connection to the onshore substation.
